Salman welcomes Ganesha

It's been a decade since the Khan clan first started with the yearly tradition of welcoming Ganesha to their Bandra home in style. Salman Khan’s family once again hosted Ganpati festival in their house for one and a half day and did the rituals with full devotions. Salman’s sisters Alvira and Arpita welcomed the elephant headed god to their house, while his mom Salma who is originally a Hindu prepared some traditional sweets.

Bollywood Khan brothers- Salman, Arbaaz and Sohail make it a point to be home at the time of ‘Aarti’ and even abstain from drinking and smoking till Ganpati resides in their house.

On Thursday evening, Salman Khan’s family immersed the Ganpati idol near Bandra Bandstand and Salman was present for the immersion along with sisters Alvira and Arpita. Salman did look sad when the Ganesha idol was taken away, but he kept chanting ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’ and ‘Purcha Varshi Laukar ya’ which means ‘Come back soon’ next year.
